Pete Veinbergs

Fly fishing and tying flies are like the love of a good woman—they’ll test you, challenge you, and help you grow into a stronger, more confident, and caring person.

Pete moved from Michigan to Sheridan, Wyoming, in 2010 and proudly calls it home with his wife and two daughters. His passion for fly fishing began at 18, chasing steelhead on Michigan’s fabled rivers and streams. Today, he brings that same patience and enthusiasm to Wyoming waters. “Let’s turn over a rock and see what’s on the menu!” you’ll often hear him say.

An avid hunter, Pete incorporates materials from birds and mammals he’s harvested into his flies, giving each one a unique story. His love for the outdoors also drives his full-time work as a landscaper and arborist. Pete brings energy, fun, and a strong sense of stewardship to his teaching—always encouraging curiosity and learning.
